Need Advice - Someone is using my graphics here at WF

What to do when someone steals your work? Does anyone else have experiences like mine.

I've already report his wf thread. He is a fiverr guy, he stole my graphics for his fiverr gig.

Any advice?

    Just curious what graphics he is using? Something from your templates you gave away? Or is he using them from somewhere else?

    I think the best way to handle this is to contact fiverr and tell them about it, I am sure they will take his gig down.

      WOW! He really did just steal your images. What balls....

      Since he is using your graphics in a WSO, I would think that a PM to the moderators or admin on this forum, would probably get him at least a warning if he does not comply with taking them down.

      By the way, your one of the very few designers on this forum who actually should be charging higher rates for your eCover graphics. They are very professional looking..... Everyone has to start somewhere and there is a place for everyone on this forum. Some people have a low budget and pay for less than the best graphics, but yours are premium, at least the eCovers from what I have seen.

      Honestly, I need to redo my eCover examples, because they are not the best examples of my design skills. I put those eCovers of mine up in a hurry just to get my website up and running. It works but it's not an accurate representation of my work.

      I have a few designers on the forum, who's work I like to look at, for inspiration, and your one of them...

    If you have experiences like mine.

    Things to do:
    * Report the thread right away
    * In my case this guy is doing business at fiverr so I reported his gig and fiverr support closed the gig but this guy opened another gig. (whew)
    * Report the site to his hosting company - (currently his site is down) the hosting legal department have contacted the owner of the site and have requested the violation be removed.

    Steve... I have had similar situations in the past and if you haven't resolved this already the best course of action it to first make sure your product is registered then
    1. simply ask them to remove the pirated graphics
    2. If they do not comply site trademark and copyright law and imply legal recourse. A cease and desist letter with a letter head is usually is scary enough to do the trick. Google cease and desist letter template.
    3. Take legal action - This can be costly and laborious but if the issue it important enough to you I suggest you take this course of action. You may wish to seek professional legal advice from a copyright attorney and to discuss your legal options. Your local or state bar association may be able to recommend a copyright attorney, or an attorney who specializes in intellectual property. GL buddy
