Getting Rid of "Phantom" Pages on Wordpress Site

I have a WP site using Thesis -I had someone set it up for me. I know how to use basic WP themes, but this one seems a little complicated when it comes to making changes, at least for a non-tech person like me.

Anyway, my problem is that I have pages listed above my header that don't (no longer) exist! I cannot find any way to delete them. When I click on the page link, it comes up with a 404 Error -you're looking for something that's not there, etc.

I have a widget for page listings on my sidebar -this one is accurate i.e. it doesn't list the phantom pages. They're only at the very top -unfortunately, where visitors will see them right away. Some of them are real, but a couple I deleted months ago.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of these non-existent pages?

I am not familiar with Thesis, but all updated themes allow you to control and make changes using the "Menu" tab in the WordPress dashboard.

Yes, I know how to use the menu from the dashboard. But when I click on "pages" the pages I'm trying to delete aren't even listed.
