How to Create Voting Function for Monthly Photo Contest

I want to have a pages with multiple photos - and allow registered users (logedin) to vote ONCE for their favorite photo.

I'm going to run the contest with a new group of photos (20-50) each month - so, ideally a template would be best - where I could just swap out the image and particpant IDs.

And of course I want to be able to 'tabulate' the votes next to the image (but hidden initially) until voting is completed and get some sort of report function with the complete list of images from Top Votes down to least votes.

Wordpress - or do I need a programmer? If a programmer - what kind.

    Are visitors to your web site already registered for an account in a script such as wordpress, vbulletin, etc. or would the users be making new accounts to vote?

      New accounts - I'll be driving traffic from another source - to the voting page - where in order to vote - they must register (email capture is goal...

    There is a plugin called NextGen gallery for wordpress,you can find that Here

    There is also an addon for that plugin called NextGen gallery voting where you can get that Here

    That might be a solution for you.

      That would be a perfect solution IF I could stop votes counted intitially from being seen. People tend to vote for what's ALREADY popular - instead of what's really there favorite.... but at the end of the day - maybe that's a good thing - since it encourages the real competitors to BEG their friends to GO VOTE FOR ME ....

      Thanks for that link! It's the perfect layout - but I'd want to be sure to restrict voting to only 1 per registered user - and that page seems to allow unlimited voting.

        OK - I solved the problem - more or less.

        FLA Grand Gallery WP Plugin (free with 2 skins - premium skins also available) for the photo gallery. I just gave each photo and entry number then sent people to vote using...

        I used the Gravity Forms (premium) WP plugin.

        Wasn't perfect - because I couldn't put my aweber code into it - and had a few bugs to tweak (user error prolly) - but simple enough.

        To count the votes, export a cvs file into Excel.

        It also allowed me to set the start and end time for the form - which is ideal for a contest or voting.
