I have a domain name and a Host Gator account setup. I would like to upload just one single web page which will redirect to a CPA offer. Think in terms of creating a landing page. The entire page will be a clickable "ad". How do I do that?

    u make the index page as the landing page. put a big image in the index.html and make it a link as well. then center it.

    Thanks for the reply hanakuza but where is the index.html? Should I have Wordpress or something installed in my HostGator control panel? Then would I see an index.html file?

    There's no need to install wordpress, just look inside your "public_html" folder and find the index.html or index.php file and use that.

      I see a default.html file and a php.ini file in there. Would it be the default.html file I modify?

        Download yourself a free copy of Kompozer (it's a wysiwyg editor)

        Read the documentation or google for free videos on how to use Kompozer, then you will be able to create your page in that program.

        Save the page as index.html

        Upload that to your public_html folder.

        You can upload the page through the file manager in cpanel or you can use an ftp program like Filezilla to upload it to your site.

          Thank you guys very much!! I did modify the default.html file (I'm not sure why it's not named index.html but I got what I needed accomplished). Janet, I will try Kompozer. Thank you all again for your help. I really appreciate it!!
