I have read a lot about title tags and that it is important to match the title tag to the content in the article as well as trying to use something close to the title at the beginning of the article but I haven't read anything whether it is important for the title tag and the url to be close. Example if my sites name is example.com and I have a page with a title tag of dog and cat information does it mater if the url matches example.comdogandcatinformation or could it just be example.com/dog or example.com/cat. Thanks

No it does not matter , what you heard are all rumors, otherways all sites containing let's say "analtytics" into their title or url would potentialy go into the same bucket as the one with "anal" wich it never happens.
It is true that engines like yahoo (wich are getting lower and lower percents of the web shares) are doing word recomendations based splitted url words matched to a dictionary, which indeed brings in some extra visitors, but at the end of the day even these do not count because they were looking for something completely different in the first place.

In terms of SEO, it is better to have your target keywords in both the title and URL. If you have a page about "dog and cat information" then having this term in the title and URL will be better. But there is no necessity for that.

Title tag plays very crucial role in seo,you only have one title in your post so it is always good to use your keywords in title tag as it will give more weight to your article in search engines

As you mentioned the example i have checked in Google. I got the result in .com as above mentioned.

For SEO purpose URL ( if it is in related word for keywords, it would be better to get result in SE ) need not to be as relevant but title have to be relevant .

As above mentioned picture, the first site's title is relevant but not as dog and cat information. words are there as separate in title.

In the second position's site too like the first one but the third placed site's title is exact but the URL is not relevant.

So in the above three placed sites having relevant title as well as keywords. but not having in the name of exact URL. And Google considering or giving importance some other On-page works too in these three listed sites.

I have read out in one thing in an article that title words or keywords have to be placed within the first three paragraph. if it so it would be given best score in major SE.

By this result i could get some point that title have to be more important.

I just wanted to quote that because that's good information. Anyone who says title tags don't mean anything and talks about title tag "rumors" is crazy.

Anyone remember the days when people made websites in MS FrontPage and left the title tag as Index? Those people had no search engine juice because they were spidered by the search engines and listed as Index which said nothing about their site. Take your title tags seriously and make sure they are keyword rich.
