I know a lot of members here use Photoshop but I only have version 5.5.

How can I make my font lettering look like brushed silver (with and also without a polished gold outline)?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is what you want, but they even give you the Photoshop file for free at the end of the tutorial

Problem is, I only have Photoshop 5.5.

I think I'll use Gimp. They also have free metal font tutorials.

      Thanks anyway.

Okay I used Gimp and Photoshop. Here are my results on my test site:

It's so bright I had to make the template background a little gray, but I'm satisfied overall.

          Thanks for your help guys.

    Looks good.

One question, where's your opt-in box?

Without building a list, you could be leaving money on the table, and losing potential buyers.

    Just a thought.

EDIT: Just noticed you said "Test Site" that might explain it.

It's a test site. I got this brandable niche concept thingy going and I am literally building the site day by day as I go. Trying to think outside the opt-in box LOL!!!

It will slowly evolve into a completed site in a few months.

Man, was learning all about diamonds a real trial. I knew absolutely nothing about jewelry when I started and I still have to finish my engagement ring guide - that alone will take a couple months.

Then there's onsite SEO, traffic, advertising (including AdSense), anti-bounce gimmicks, stats utilities, and then...an opt-in box. So much work...so little time.

All of this is just a hobby for me. If I eventually make money, so much the better.

I picked the name Rockbottom because it sounds like a tall lanky snobbish British aristocrat from the Middle Ages who puts snuff on his sleeve and looks down on his well-to-do baron friends.

Also, the rings are available at rockbottom prices. Finally a diamond is a rock and the two dots over the letter "O" looks like a ring.

You're off to a great start. I have an increasing addiction to learning about several different niches, so I can totally relate. Only problem I would have with a diamond site, is my wife would spend all the profits buying more jewelry!

Love the portrait of words describing the name...brilliant!
