Weebly, Wordpress, other?

Hello, I'm a newbie who just bought someone else's website off Flippa. It was coded with WordPress, which I wasn't familiar with before, and maybe it's me, but it is not an intuitive platform for me. I used Publisher before (ok, showing my newbie-ness), and weebly and both of those seem more user friendly, i.e., if Google gives me a code snippet, I know where to put it. But with WP, the "pages" designed don't match up with the web pages on my site. I don't know where to edit headers, where to place code snippets, etc. Only by fishing around did I find a Google analytics plug-in that is now doing my tracking.

I'd like to make changes to my website e.g., logo replacements, adding pages or a blog, etc., and this all seems a challenge compared to weebly or Publisher. I know I can buy the expertise, and I've had to do this already to make some minor immediate tweaks, but because I'm still developing this site, I prefer to have an easy peasy way to update and edit.

All thoughts much appreciated.

Wordpress is far more versatile than weebly. I suggest you simply start from scratch and just import the site into a fresh Wordpress installation with a Thesis framework and make life easy again.

I think that WordPress is the better solution long term, but how easy the site is to work with can depend greatly on the Theme that you are using.

With the right theme, updating your website is so easy that anyone will be able to do it. I just don't know right now what you are working with. I'd suggest finding someone who can set it up so that it is easy to update on the backend.

WordPress can be really powerful and that's why I would use it over those other options.

Wordpress is better place than weebly. It will enhance your work space. As there is a lot of data and work done for wordpress. As a new KarmaOptions Panel in frameworks will be better and easy to use for you. As it is a handy tool and drag and drop able.

Use wordpress. It is best and easier blog engine that I know. For snippet, tags etc use wp plugins, for example "All in one seo pack".

I think you need some basis of word-press. Did you try word-press 101 tutorial? guess it was premium but now it is free - the beautiful thing about this tutorial is that it takes you through all the back end of word-press e,g from dashboard, page, post, categories, media etc.
Try that and you will not have problem anymore with logo replacements, adding pages or a blog, etc., alternatively search word-press beginner tutorial on YouTube and Google you will find loads of them.
Am sure this is what you need getting to know the very basis of word-press.
    Good luck

Thanks to all for your comments, so far it's unanimous... Wordpress wins! But per rawalbaig's reply - if I want drag and drop ability, I need to use "karmaoptions" plug in?

Another vote for WordPress - but like someone said earlier, make sure you get a theme you find easy to use. It'll make the world of difference.

    Two options:

One, get someone to do the changes you need.
Second, dive in at WordPress Codex and learn along the way.

WordPress is a robust machine and you can do wonders with it, but it's far more complex then changing some blocks to achieve what you want, like in Blogger (not sure about Weebly).

The needs you have are more technical then the average "how to create a new page", but I am sure you can use Youtube to check some good informative videos. have you tried that already?
