Restrict Client Access To Just Posts In WP

Have a client who wants to update their blog on a WP site. Blog is setup as a category using posts (premium theme came this way).

I do not want her to have access to the rest of the site, in fears of messing anything up.

Is there a way to restrict her access to just the blog or just posting new posts?

I see you can choose different "roles" in adding a new user within WP, but I'm not sure which of these might do the trick if any (Subscriber, Editor, Author, Contributor) ...

(If one of these would do this, where/when do you limit the access? It's not on the Setup New User page.)

I also checked out available plugins for "restrict access" but couldn't figure out which one might do this.

Appreciate any advice, thank you.

    Contributor.

And if you are the admin, when adding a new user it is down there the last field: ROLE > select contributor from the dropdown.

EDIT. And you don't need to do anything... WP is smarter than you think :p
(meaning, it will limit the user's capabilities according to the Role)

Mandatory reading for those that sell themselves as "WP experts" to clients:

Good thing I don't sell myself as a "WP expert," but I did read the info ... seems what they want is the "Author" role which allows publishing the post as well as creating/editing it ... thanks for the response, Istvan
