Thesis Theme for Wordpress

Hello, I have heard a lot about thesis wordpress theme!

I still dont undrstnd what exactly it is for ??? is it a theme or just a Plugin or is it kind of JQuery ????


& Can it be applied on Current Theme ??

    Thesis is a theme that you need to install in your wordpress admin dashboard and it provides you lots of capabilities to control the appearance of your site.

    For you to be able to understand more, you may check youtube and search for Thesis Wordpress Theme tutorials.

    The problem with Thesis is for it to do a lot of things that you want it to do you have to learn HOOKS. I originally bought thesis and for that very reason, learning HOOKS, I went out and bought a theme that is so much more flexible. That theme is the FlexSqueeze theme.

    You don't have to know coding, HOOKS or anything to get it to do almost anything you want. It even comes with the ability to create stunning Squeeze pages. I use it on 99% of my blogs. The other one uses Thesis, I mean there's no reason not to use it after I paid for it and all.

    Honestly, at this stage of knowledge I'd save that money and wouldn't buy it... (maybe later)

      I see, therefore i cant apply if on current theme, so its not worth because current theme is also good & i was reading too much about Thesis so was wondering what it was

    Thesis is much more then a theme it's a wordpress framework. You don't need to understand hooks if you use the thesis openhook plugin.

    Although my site runs on Thesis and many sites I've built for clients run on Thesis, I would have to agree with some of the comments above that it can be quite technical.

    If you don't want to mess with code, but still want to be able to customize your site, I would suggest a theme from ThemeForest or even WooThemes.

    There is a pretty big learning curve with thesis. I know my way around wordpress extensively, but it took awhile to gather the information I needed to operate that particular theme with ease. So if you are not savvy when it comes to wordpress, I would recommend steering clear of that theme until you have considerable knowledge. But it is a great theme for customization.
