WEB DESIGN

I have website in wordpress.Its free website related to SEO category.I have to track my website visits in Google analytics,Is that possible add GA code to my wordpress site?Am read few blogs related this, but I can't find any proer answer fro this.Some ones suggesting there is option in wordpress for tracking visit,but I not need that,.I want add GA code to my words press site..
Please help me guys..

dejeesh,

There are Google Analytics Plugins available for WordPress.

Just do a search for them. You will have to setup your Google Analytics account first, then install the plugin and put your GA Code in.

A lot of themes have a spot where you can enter the code, if not just get a plugin for it from WordPress

One plugin you can use for Analytics can be found Here on the Wordpress plugin directory,it's one of the more detailed plugins for Analytics with lots of options,another option is to just add the code in your theme if it allows it,I know Studiopress themes offer this option and it is very easy to do.

Edit: I just noticed Istvan's post below that you are using a Wordpress.com blog and not a self hosted Wordpress site,in that case I don't think Analytics will be available for you,as far as I know you can't install Analytics on a Wordpress.com blog.
Another option you can use instead is StatCounter, you will need to sign up and create an account,then get the code and place it in a sidebar text widget,StatCounter offers very good tracking information,almost as good as Analytics

You can NOT install anything on a wordpress.com blog. Period. It is not yours. They own it. Get real and move it to your own domain: install WP and than you can use any plugins you wish.
