Quick question on getting indexed.

I have a quick question that I need help on. I'm thinking about getting wysiwyg web builder to build my website, but I heard that using a wysiwyg editor can make it hard for the spiders to crawl your site and get indexed. I'm not sure if this is true, but I need to find out before I start building.

    if the wysiwyg web builder is using tables to create your site layout then most spiders don't like this.

    wysiwg does use frames and Googles spiders cant read a website which is setup in frames. You could always outsource the project to a professional programmer at a site like elance at not much cost

      I've seen the HTML generated by Nvu (a free WYSIWYG editor) and it's cleaner than most. I recommend it.

      As long as you aren't setting up a site with frames, or tables-within-tables-within-tables, you should be okay.

      Simple tables don't seem to affect SEO, and many of the biggest and most popular websites seem to be built with Dreamweaver, which is similar to Nvu but it includes more features than Nvu... and it is an investment.

      I'd start with Nvu and see how you like the results.

      (Then again, I'm using WordPress for almost all of my websites now, and they're consistently well-placed at Google.)
