Help to make an iFrame fit

Hi all, help please.

My problem: i want to insert an iFrame into a wordpress page.
It is a little too wide, and gets displayed with a horizontal scroll-bar in the sidebar template. It displays fine in the non-sidebar showcase template.

I would love to make it fit in the sidebar template with no scrollbar.
The theme i am using is twenty-eleven, the actual width of the iframe is 670.

I have tried setting the left margin to a negative value. When i do this, yes it moves left, but its width remains the same. I am left with the scrollbar even though there is plenty of space in the right hand area.
I tried various other setting and changes, no good.
Can somebody tell me what i am missing please? seems like there is a maximum width setting or something like that.

If you look at the html view when you are editing the page or post where you inserted your iframe. Iframes usually have dimensions that you can edit freely. I've played with iframes inserting maps from Google, it's a simple fix.

you can adjust most of the features of iframes.. not sure if youve tried the following at all

    eg... <iframe src="" frameborder="0" width="100px" scrolling="no"></iframe>

      Thanks for all the suggestions.
The width of this one can not be changed.
I eventually found out how to set the max-width to 125% and the left margin negative value, and that solves it for me, it all displays now fairly centrally.
      Sorted.
