Wordpress Question

Alright this one goes out to all of the wordpress gurus out there. I am working with a flooring company and would like to move their site to a wordpress site. I was going to use the catablog plugin to help with displaying all of the products that they are going to be putting on the site. The only thing that I do not like is that is does not give many custom fields to help with internal site searching.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to display not only the products, but also have the searchable on the site. I have looked into Estore plugins, but they will not be selling anything through the site so all of the extra stuff of add to cart and pricing would not be needed.

      Thanks for the input. I am going to use that one. The first thing is finding a good way to display the products with pagination that either has custom fields, or allows for custom fields to be created. I have thought about doing custom posts, just not sure how to lay it out on the page to display them.

    Here are a few options:
    • Use the Estore plugin and simply use CSS to hide all of the unecessary links and buttons
    • Create a custom page template for displaying blog posts in a "product" category along with their custom fields
    • Use a theme that has custom fields built in (perhaps for a classified ads site or something) and just edit it to take out the stuff you don't need
