Need Help Transfer a site from hostgator to Godaddy?

Need some help transferring a worpress site I sold, from hostgator to godaddy. I know the basics of transferring a site but I usually transfer the site onto another hostgator account. PLEASE HELP!

    It should be pretty straight forward assuming the domain name isn't changing.

    1) Backup your wordpress database (download it to your computer)
    2) Backup all of your files (via FTP)
    3) Upload all of your files to GoDaddy
    4) Setup and import your database

    It might be a bit more complicated than that, but that seems pretty simple to me.

    The other option is to convince them that GoDaddy hosting sucks and they should to with a cPanel-based site. (I'm not a GoDaddy fan)

    yeah the problem that I have really is setting up the database to match the website on the new hosting. Usually on hostgator you have to edit the database name I think to match the new hosting, I know how to do this with hostgator but I don't know how to using godaddy, but I will play around (carefully) and see how it works. THANKS!

    I successfully added files into the cpanel and its folder. how to import the .sql file. The .sql version of Godaddy is 5.0 where as hostgator version is 3.5.8.1.

    I bought a website and i want it to be transferred without messing it up.
    how is it possible?

    There's a FREE plugin for wordpress that will do the whole job:

    WordPress › Duplicator « WordPress Plugins

    Also a bunch of plugins that you can pay a lot for that will do the same thing.
