Please review my first website

Hello all I am new to the forum and to website building and I am seeking any advise that will help me be successful in my first venture. I am a master electrician and my website is part tutorial and basic electrical knowledge. I have put adsense on the site and a few electrical books from amazon. I have been at this for about 2 months (that is website building) and I think that I am going in the right direction. My website is The electricians hangout and I would love for you guys to take a look and tell me what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong. I hope that I am not breaking any rules, this is also the first forum that I have ever joined.I started a thread New to website building and warriors fourm actually twice the 2nd time was a mistake I did not see the first post so I apologize.

    Looks pretty good! Good job. Maybe post some frequent common electricity problems that regular people like me could relate to. Nice work.

    congrats generally good looking. videos are good!

    Some improvements might be:
    adjusting the widgets to the same width.
    emphasize important points by using a modest coloration.
    give your graphix proper filenames (image 1243.png is not really ideal)

    most important: you have no content ! while the sites are long, almost everything on electrical training is no "real" content, everything are .png. That does not work very well with search engines.

    thanks rhoody the section with the ping elements was meant to be to help folks study so I did not focus a lot of my seo on those pages

    Hello...the site is looking pretty good...One thing I noticed in the sidebar that "Popular, comments, tag" thing is looking misaligned but may be the widget have some bug. And the website sounds so informative. Thumbs up.

      thanks Makeitcg that popular tag widget is acting weird I am not sure what happened even the arrow below the footer that send you back to the top of the page stop working. I guess the thesis theme is broken somewhere.

        For being new to website building I think it's good! I would suggest adding a simple custom logo and maybe doing a better job organizing on page content. The first image is much higher than the rest. If the text wrapped around the pics better it would give a much cleaner appearance.

            It's really nice site. I suggest that you need some improvement on your content. Because unique content is important for website. Good content increases search engine rankings and traffic. But overall you have done good job. I really like your videos very much. Keep it up.
