Hi everyone.

First, for everyone reading this I appreciate your help.

I have three sites using the same theme, plugins e.t.c and on the sites the images have stopped loading on the home page:

Which Laptop - Independent Source For The Latest Laptop & Netbook Reviews

As you can see the images have disappeared, now I am unsure as to why this is, but I believe it is something to do with one of the plugins.

However, I need some help in fixing this issue, if anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,
Will.

I doubt it's a plugin, but to test simply turn off ALL of your plugins and see if the pictures come back. If they do, then turn on your plugins one at a time until one makes the pictures go away, and then you'll find your problem.

I would also try recreating some of your posts and seeing if the pictures display in a new post. Double check your 'media' menu and make sure the pictures are still there, etc..

Yes tried using firebug on your image section and not showing any images what so ever. I would suggest testing the plugins by trial and error, like what was mentioned before. It could be a possible template issue as well, so i would possibly try another template and see if the problem is the same in the other tamplate.

Are your images still in your wordpress image library? Are the links to the image folder broken?

    Hi guys,

This issue only arised when I updated a plugin, I think it was this plugin:

    Advanced custom fields
    or
    W3 Pagenate
    or
    W3 Table Reload

All the images still seem to be in the media section of my site...

Thanks everyone for your time and advice up to now, much appreciated.

Just looking at your code I'm guessing the images are defined as a background-image in the "featured-review-photo"class. The first thing I would suggest is to ftp into youe site and double check on the file /folder structure. If he images actually reside on your website then you should be able to type in the path in a browse and it the image should come up in the browser. The same path should be defined in your CSS file.

here's an example, this url is basicly the address i.e. path to an image stored on my web server.

well for some reason the forum software is truncating my url so it is sort of screwing up my example
if you'll notice the path is everything after the".com" everything up to there is telling the browser that there is a website located on the internet at 2ndamendmentforums.com/ after the slash is he path through the folders found at 2ndamendmentforums.com. Once you determine the path/location of your images then all you have to do is make sure the place that's calling them is using the right path and syntax. And like I said I'm guessing the images are defined as a background-image n you CSS file.

Is there a function to turn on the image? I don't think this is an issue of the wrong path (ie missing or having an extra ../ in the code). I looked at at source code and it is not calling any images.

Yeah i f the image is set as a "background-image" in the CSS file there will not be a call in the html for the image the only thing you might see is the invocation of the class that calls the image in his case ther is a class named "featured-review-photo" so there is it least one background image found here url("images/background.jpg"). Though you're likely right that something is screwing with the scripts on the page.

If I had to guess after taking a look at the descriptions of those plugins, Its the first one, its the only plugin in that list capable of effecting html tags on a site wide scale.

You should probably just take the first guys advice and start turning plugins on and off to see which one causes you trouble.
