WordPress admin Setting changed itself. Can't change it back.

I have dozens of WordPress installations that I have built since 2007.

Today one site is showing only five lines of test in the Post box.

Settings > Writing > Post box size still says 40 lines.

But only 5 lines are shown. I have tried changing the setting to 30 lines. Nothing happened.

I'm on the latest WordPress version, but I reinstalled WP just in case that would help. It did not.

So the MySQL database is clearly corrupted in some way.

I called HostGator twice, but they really do not offer tech support anymore. Lately they are just crappy--and that quality control survey the recording tells you will be at the end of your call? Not happening.

So has anyone else ever seen this problem? How did you fix it?

(Please do not tell me to search the WP Codex. I have never found an answer to *anything* there. But if you post a link to an answer, I will certainly follow it.)

Again, have you ever seen this problem? The Setting is correct, but what is shown in the post editing area is wrong.

    Googled the problem. Found the solution.

    In WordPress you can now just grab the lower right-hand corner of the Post box and drag it to whatever size you want.

    I hope this helps someone.

    You can now drag the post box to whatever size it is that you may want. It could also be a problem with your monitor resolution/size. If you haven't changed that, then go ahead and tinker with the pull-box on the post box.
