Shorten Wordpress Header

WEB DESIGN

How do you shorten a twenty eleven wordpress header? My header currently looks like its divided in two. Title, tag line, and search bar in white space and then my header graphic below. I'd like to consolidate them so that my content isn't pushed below the fold anymore.

go to header.php file and edit the codes according o your needs...

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. I looked in header.php but couln't tell where to adjust to make it work. I did a temporary fix by using a free image editor to put my site name directly into the image and uploading it.
