Which image do you like A or B?

A would be better if it was a site for bikinis or swimwear. B is definitely better if you want to give your visitors an idea of what can be done with head wraps. So my vote is B. It looks more professional and is very nicely laid out.

I think I prefer A. Like the person above said, it has more of a KISS feel to it, but perhaps that isn't really what appeals in fashion and B would have more impact? Hard to say but A just resonates a bit more with me.

I prefer A because B is a little too busy.

That's my pick between the two choices.

That being said, I think that if you did a combo utilizing the different designer head wraps that was a little easier on the eye, perhaps a different layout that didn't draw your eyes to many different places all at once as in B, you'd have a winner.

As a guy, I like the one on the left - A. Oh wait, there's a website there! My eyes didn't get that far.

From a sales standpoint, B is better because is shows a little variety, but graphically it is busy, and off balance. The color (and gradient fill) rectangles are pulling it off. Can you play with changing the size and location of the images in B, and use only 1 or 2 color rectangles?

Don't you think someone might look at A and think how wonderful they'd look in a head wrap?

To the Op,

I also think words are very important, so if you decide to use more pictures you could maybe test it with words as well.

I just did a quick search for head wraps and all of the sites I visited featured .... head wraps on the front page. No bikinis.

B caught my eye first, but it wasn't until I looked at A that I realized it was a site selling head wraps. Then I looked back at B and finally saw the word "head wraps" written in one of the many grey squares.

A looks very bland and generic. B has more flair and looks like it's owned by people who are into being more cutting edge and different. So I voted B. It depends on the branding you're trying to portray tho. To me A looks like millions of other websites - generic and not very fashion-conscious. Also B provides great examples of the different looks you can achieve with the head wraps. People like that

Ultimately what will matter is which design sells more headwraps. Our opinions won't matter. The customers opinions will matter.

Can you just stick Google Optimizer on it and see which designe gets viewers into the sales pages and brings you sales?

I think 'B' stands out more and is simplified just needs blending a bit better to fit the background.

'A' has way too much text if that's meant to be just the intro page.

I'd say combine the best features from both..

As a person who occasionally wears head wraps, I don't really like either one. I do like the blue head wrap on the model though.

Both are too busy. I understand why you show so much of the model in A. The head wrap matches her bikini bottom, but it's not really important. The color chart on the left isn't needed on the home page. It's distracting. The problems with B have already been discussed in this thread.

I would use A BUT would close up on the girl and scarf, would lose the guy and take out half the text. The blocks in B pull the eye away from the hero - the scarf and the scarf is also lost because of the girls bikini - but maybe thats just me

Another perhaps better way would be to use the photo of the lady in B with the word Designer next to her - but that photo only and drop the bikini girl and the blocks etc.

I would prefer A for the content. However, as what Cee said, you need to give the visitors an idea about head wraps. Maybe you can utilize the space in the right slide bar to put pictures of head wraps.

I like the pics in B but it's too busy so maybe incorporate those pics somewhere else on the site.....

A quick observation...

Of all the people who even bothered to mention the guy in picture A, not a single one noticed that he seems to be wearing some kind of head wrap as well. All the attention is on the bikini and the white space around it.

If targeting all genders is important, perhaps a head and shoulders shot might be more effective.
