Hi Everyone,

My new website on Rosacea Treatment will be launched at the end of the month. Still needs a lot
of work (still need to update more content and some misspelling here and there - content does need work too). I would really need your expert opinion on how to improve the site.

I tried doing a silo for the site architechture. I got the information from one of the threads here. Not sure how I did it.

Any form of feedback would be much appreaciated.

Thank you.

PS

The website is RosaceaSupport.com

Hey, looks good overall, very clean, which I tend to favor in websites.

Only thing I notice is that everything seems LARGE....the images on the first page and

    other spaces around the text.

I would recommend you can condense it so that people can scroll down quicker.

    But overall, a decent site.

Thank you so much for your comments.

    @Dhanishta - content does need a lot of work - A LOT!

@brik2500 - great insight. Will definitely add that on my revision list for the site. Now that you mention it, photos (and maybe even the fonts) are a bit large.

Super clean design. Looks like a professionally done website and easy to navigate with the menu at the top. The only problem I have is that I would love to visit your website and see information straight away on what Rosacea is rather than having to click around to find info. Besides that I think it's great.

I can put the content on the "About Us" section of the homepage. Do you think that would help?

If your background color is sky blue or pink then it could be more attractive. This is my personal opinion.

I would reduce the content from the homepage, so the entire page can fit the screen and keep the scrolling to a minimum. Remember, You have in average 3 seconds to impress new visitors.

Overall, it's a nice clean design. I do see a few issues design wise that I would address.

    1. The drop shadow on "That innocent blush can be rosacea" is too much. I would cut it out completely or set the distance to a smaller number.

    2. Find a doctor button is blurry and doesn't have enough contrast. You should also try to make your main call to action at minimum the same size as your logo. Preferably about 150% the size of your logo. This helps draw the eye to the button.

    3. The #container div background is a little too dark. You need more contrast in this area. Right now you are using #F2F2F0. I would suggest going with #f9f9f9. It's a subtle change but reduces the possibility of eye fatigue while reading. Your blog is much easier to read because of the higher contrast.

    4. The shadow on your Rosacea support sidebar is a bit much as well. I would reduce it.

    5. Consistency could be tightened up a bit more on design elements. For example, images on sub pages are square as compared to the rounded images on the home page. Your Facebook like call out on the home page is rounded and the ZenMed ad is squared.

    6. The page headers like "What is Rosacea?" should have some padding to move them from the left edge. I would also remove the top padding on the "entry-content" div so that the page headers are vertically centered.

I know this the web "design" forum but one of the biggest parts of design is information architecture. I can't see a clear path that you want me to take as a visitor.

Do you want me to find a doctor and leave the site? Do you want me to read about Rosacea? Do you want me to invest in treatment that you offer?

I think if the benefit path is defined, your content will come easily and your design will solidify.

Again, overall it's a nice looking site.

@723Media Thank you for your very detailed feedback on the site. Very much appreciated. I will take all of your suggestions and tweak the site a bit more.

The design for the "Innocent blush" text is the part where I'm really stuck. It's not just the shadow but I feel the color is a little off too. Will experiment on the look of that one.

I still need to add a doctor directory to the site. There are two things that we want people to do on the site - 1. go to the find a doctor section 2. like the fb page. Id also like to add an opt-in for a newsletter for getting leads. I realize that these "actions" are not very obvious on the site yet.

Again, thank you so much for your valuable feedback. I feel I should be paying you guys for this (but I won't lol). I'll just tell Santa you were extra nice this year and to make sure you're on his nice list

Go through all of the images on your site and kill the links. right now they take you to just the image except of course for the main three images on your front page. They need to take you their respective sections.

I like the design and color scheme.
    Some improvement paths:
the "lady with cream on face" header background does not transition smoothly - from the white background, it falls too abruptly to the light grey. So I would find some kind of visual indicator , like a shadow same as you put on the upper header, or a fade effect so the header's white background smoothly fades into the light grey which follows.

I'd be also tempted to change the text font to something a bit less heavy, hence giving the images even more visual power. Or instead of changing the fonts, maybe change font color to something softer, like a shade of grey, definitely something lighter and less strong...

The 3 images following the header (rounded corners) shout to me: "we need background shadows" - putting some very soft shadows will make those images stand out, giving then a feeling of 3d (so far the site is very 2dimensional).

    looks great! great work!!
