Locking a WP panel..possible?

WEB DESIGN

Hi, I am using WordPress to create a site for a friend.
She wants me to maintain the site but would like to be able to do certain things herself, add blog posts, update venues etc.
I don't want to allow her full access to the WP cpanel as I know she will fiddle with other things, which I will need to correct.
Is there any way to add a user to the WP cpanel with only certain access?

I think I may have found the answer in Adminimize, does anyone have any comments about this?

A very easy solution would be to add a user with Author/Editor role. Such users would be able to post without making any major admin changes.

I wish wordpress could provide customizable access to wordpress panel. There are tonnes of things you don't want to OR want to allow to someone...

For those that use WP and still never learnt it: the script offers out of the box 5 [FIVE] different user levels.

For the OP question - in your case Contributor or Author is more than enough for the friend.

For the ignorant commenters: take some WP basic 101 courses before replying to WP threads
