Hey Guys,

I'd like to let a developer make a MYSQL database for me and have regular access to it, but the way my Bluehost hosting service is set up, you have to give away your cpanel login to do this.

What is the easiest way for somebody who knows almost nothing about mysql to grant access to it without giving away the cpanel?

A caveat: the developer says his IP address changes frequently, and I have to whitelist IP's to get access from off the cpanel...

In cPanel, there is an option for remote mysql connections. You will need to specify an IP though. I'd suggest the developer accesses it from an IP that doesn't change.

When he says it changes frequently, he may be behind a NAT device, so the main IP accessing the connection might not be changing as frequently as he thinks.
