Different languages

Hello,

I would like to build a simple content website with different languages and put "Google Translate" button on the site, so when visitors chooses a particular language it goes to that language page

I've seen sites like that, but I don't know how they are built

For example;

example.com/es
example.com/fr
example.com/gr



etc...


Could somebody help please/

    Hi,

    I personally do it with my CMS' built-in multilingual functions (Joomla) - and I never, NEVER use auto-translate systems to translate a whole website! Do that if you want your visitors to flee...
    I have specific content and menus for both languages and the CMS takes care of showing only the right content based either on the visitor's choice or on the language of his browser if he doesn't make an explicit choice (like when he gets on my website for the first time).

    If you want a multilingual site with each language in its own subfolder - forget Google translator. That is NOT a professional translation tool. (Every machine translation sucks...)

    GT will never create subfolders.
    GT will never have a reliable translation.

    You have two, not-related options:
    Either GT or a professional set-up with a plugin (see above) + human translators. You can not mix these...

    What I do is if it's a big client with a lot of links I'd use a plugin like WPML for it.
    If it's a small website and it's easy to duplicate it and make french I'll just make a folder inside the clients FTP for the /it /fr /en ... etc.
    At least with separate databases it's less likely you'll cause any conflict.

    If you need professional translation then hire a content writer cause Google isn't professional as a translation service.
