Hey warriors, i have just made my new website for my security guarding business. It doesnt have adsense or anything like that. Its just suppose to be a simple professional looking website to attract clients.
What do you guys think?
Cheers

I like it. Simple and clean.

But I would suggest that you capitalize the homepage menu.

Other that I think it's great.

It's nice and basic. Do you have any customers already? If so, ask them for testimonials and post those to give you some social proof.

It is indeed simple, I guess a little unattractive though... The menu titles are bigger than the letters in the header, the navigation buttons for the slide show also looks a bit off.. It is clean and simple but I don't know why it seems to lack that professional sleek look. But overall it's not that bad.

  • Zxboss,

You have a really great start here. My one suggestion would be to add some images to the top of the “Our Services” pages. It helps to break up the content and balances out the page a little. Other than that great work!

My opinion is about the same as those before me.
Looks very plain but to the point.
Little or no content on the home page can be a issue in search indexes I would think.

Inner page content font sizes are very big. If you could add small images there then look n feel will be good.

Very nice. I like your logo too. I'd say some content on lower front page would balance it a bit, or maybe some social media contact details (might be good for keeping clients up to date as well as provide potential ones with more details, testimonials, etc)

    But very nice so far.

    Regards

I agree with most of the suggestions made. But, I would add a welcome message of some kind or a short couple paragraphs about the company on the first page just to give it more balance and so it doesn't seem so short of a site. First impressions are everything as you know. I would also add a few social connect like maybe Linkedin and even just a tweet about us button. But, does need some kind of social media options.

Looks really good though, colors are nice, site is clean looking and it loads really quickly.

      Good job!!

  • Very clean. I would add a nice footer to it w/ social media icons
    small contact form.

    cheers!

simple, clean, white.. you can do ok with the way it looks (css wise) but your major issue is your pictures. You've stretched them to fit a specific area! and a lot of them... This is a very bad thing! A no no! a big no no
Never EVER stretch a picture to fit anything! EVER!!!! - That's design disaster #1.

find out what size you need the picture to be and then use photoshop to fit it in there nice. you may crop the pic but you may never EVER stretch the pic - looks plain tacky and cheap and not to mention ugly!

(did i drive the NEVER's home enough? ok good : )

If the pic is just to small to fit, you may do this:
#1 open up photoshop and start new project with the correct size detentions of the pic area.
#2. Drag and drop pic in the area.
#3. Click on pic layer and press CTRL+T (this will allow you to size the pic)
#4 hold SHIFT and grab the corner of the pic and pull, (but this will effect the quality and start to show blurring so if you absolutely neeeed to do this, do it in small amounts!)
    DONE!

oh and your logo has harsh edges.. re do logo and use "smooth" see pic below for example.

change those issues and you'll be just alright.

The Logo needs some work, it doesn't look smooth. The banner changes images to quickly imho and I don't really like the buttons that come with the banner.

Not bad. Less is more these days and nobody likes too many options on a website.
Just the basics of what is needed and that is what makes a great site.
