I'm looking for some shared hosting to host landing pages and a few PDD based sites(original content), I've been looking at Bluehost or Dreamhost, I used to use Hostgator in the past but am looking for a new provider, something along the lines of the plans Bluehost or Dreamhost with unlimited bandwidth/domains/one click installs of WP etc. Recommendations anyone?

Don't get over to the Unlimited Plan, read their AUP or TOS carefully. I used to get banned with those Unlimitted Plan already, but that my fault that I didn't read their TOS or AUP.

I don't know what PDD is, but looking at the Web Hosting Offers is not a pain because they have good relationship with us.

Another place is Shared Hosting Offers - Web Hosting Talk it has many hosting offers and review, so you'll get a good one with a very cheap price!

    Hope it will help!

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

How much traffic are your sites getting and how long have you been with Bluehost?

Quality shared hosting can be got from marblehost and readymakers.
They have stable servers which are supported perfectly well and their network is solid.
    Prices are modest.

I've used bluehost in the past, and got suspended cause I used to much bandwidth (yes, it was unlimited back then too). Dreamhost was solid, but sometimes slow, and it doesn't have cpanel, so I had to manually transfer all sites later to another host.

I recommend you to check webhostingtalk (what run said), see the offers, read the reviews, see the price if it matters and buy. I bought hawkhost plan last year, and I'm satisfied.

Wow they advertise unlimited bandwidth then suspend you for using to much, ridiculous. I'll check out Hawkhost and others on webhostingtalk. Thanks for the input.

That was 4, 5 years ago, maybe things are different now.

I think you'd go for limited storage and space hosting because they will have stable and fast server than the unlimited hosting with bunch of sites that eating bandwidth and space each others. There is no unlimited in the world of hosting; they just persuade people who are thoughtless and go for it immediately. Because those hosting providers believe that no one will use all of the bandwidth and space, but if you over use it, exactly they will kick you out.

In the last few years, I got banned by many Hosting Providers because of their blind unlimited all. Hawkhost seems to have good review from the real users, so it would be a worth of consideration.

What "unlimited" hosting providers banned you?

I don't think it really matters. The main idea that you should remember is: there is NO unlimited anything. Period.

When I first starting to host my first ugly blog with Wordpress, I hosted with 000webhost for free, but in a while my blog got traffic spike in the 3rd day of the month, so they suspend my site on the 3rd. How about another 27 days? My site was down.

Therefore, I must force myself to move to the paid hosting. What I knew is to search in Google for the terms "Best Hosting Provider"; at that time I saw the review sites, I went for it.

I got banned by Webhostinghub because I hosted my mp3s for my visitors to download (TOS not allow). I've asked to Inmotion Hosting, Bluehost, iPage, Fatcow, and they would banned me, too if I'm comsumping their storage and bandwidth.

What on the earth that said unlimited? NO! NOTHING UNLIMITED!
Could you buy hard disk which is having unlimited spaces on the market? NO!
Could you buy premium unlimited banwidth for just $10/month? NO!

That's the point that they cheap me out by fooling me the unlimited.

I couldn't stand it anymore, so I went for Dedicated. 2.7 years upto now, I feel relax with my own server with the Big Company there!

I have used Dreamhost for the last 7 years. I have their unlimited domains/traffic plans and have found it to be pretty good. Not always the quickest, but never down. I currently have 120 sites with them.

Only thing I don't like about them is the lack of cpanel. But, other than that, no real complaints.

Wow. I had no idea they were all owned by one company.

I will say I had very poor service with JustHost. You actually had to pay extra for a secure FTP transfer and the support was not always very good.

Hostgator has been very good for me and the support is incredible. I am glad EIG lets them run things their own way.

I have used Site5 since 2006 and never had any problems.
Their support is great, both live and via their ticket system.
They have the unlimited bandwidth option also, BUT...
I recently encountered a situation where I didn't exceed BANDWIDTH but I did exceed the CPU USAGE for the "community" of shared sites on that server.
When you are using shared hosting, you are usually allotted only so much resources, and again, we are not talking about site bandwidth.
This is the only issue I have had with Site5 in 6 years, and they were very helpful in resolving this.
Has anyone else had this problem? CPU resource issues on a shared hosting plan?
    Thanks

I use Monstermegs. I'm verry happy with them. I used their shared plan for a while, which is good for basic stuff, but now I'm on their semi-dedicated plan and it rules.

You may use shared hosting from readymakers.
They have low prices and plans are resourceful.
Their servers are fast (SAS drives!) and support is active.
