Hello Warrior Members,

Hope everyone is having a great start of the new year.
I am having trouble with a wordpress theme that I have installed, the problem I am having is that the Widget Area Boxes are not clickable for some reason, So I can not arrange my Widgets and all the good stuff..

Is this a erro in the coding? if so how do i trace that down..

Any help would be awesome

If the widgets work with a standard WP theme active ( TwentyTen, TwentyEleven, TwentyTwelve ), but not with your new theme active, you can bet it's a theme coding problem. If not, then it's a plugin problem.

The most likely cause is the theme or plugin loading javascript when/where it shouldn't, or in a non-standard way, or force-loading of old jQuery libraries.

Running down the cause is not for the faint-of-heart or inexperienced; you have to know how WP handles enqueueing of javascript, dependencies, and other things. If you don't know what I'm talking about, your 'path of least frustration' would probably be to find another theme or deactivate the offending plugin.

    Try this:
click Screen Options--> Enable Accessibility mode
I don't promise that it will work but it can be a solution. If is working then you'll see the widgets and all the options in a different way than now but is almost the same thing.

@copilu0 - Thanks. I had someone turn on accessibility mode and had no idea what was going on.

@getsometraffic - There is a plugin causing a javascript error. I recommend going 1 by 1 disabling them and then trying to drag and drop. I have seen this with the s3FlowShield plugin.

If you have Firebug (Firefox) or use the Chrome Developer tools you can see if there is a javascript error.
