I have bought a domain name from godaddy.com. I have an account in hostgator. How can I make a website using the purchased domain name? Please help me.

    You made the first right step in setting up a web site: having as registrar and as host two different companies. Well done!

    Next, you will need to look for the DNS (= Domain Name servers or simply Nameservers) info at your hosting company. Usually, it is in the first email you got from them when signing up. Or read their FAQ/Help/Support.

    When you have the correct DNS info, you must login to your registrar (godaddy) and change the DNS values in your account for that domain.

    As far as I remember, both Godaddy and Hostgator have detailed instructions and video tutorials about how to do it. It would be also worth to search Youtube... there is a video for (almost) everything

      It could take up to 24 hours to get your domain and hosting activated.
      than you have to put a website on your server (Directory: public_html) or you can use a cms like wordpress from the cpanel.

        Yes, in your Hostgator c-panel look for an item called Fantastico. it will automatically setup Wordpress on your web site Also Hostgator has excellent customer support and live chat to help you with any particulars in this process. Also note your hosting package may allow for add on domains so you can add websites to your hosting and use Fantastico to setup Wordpress on each one.

    Hi, just use Fantastico as mentioned by ronc0011 its one click install of wordpress then login to wordpress and install the theme as per your website niche and also install SEO plugins for better traffic enjoy
