What is the error you are getting exactly, it can be caused by some plugin or if you updated wordpress recently.

Again without knowing the exact error or url, can't tell you what to do, but try deactivating the plugins from phpmyadmin, and then activate one by one to see which plugin is causing it.

My question to you, do you have a WordPress website? if you do, to access your WordPress administration panel, you will (in most cases) add "wp-admin" at the end of your domain name in your web browser. For example: http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/

First thing your going to do is download Filezilla

If you need to move your blog to another web hosting account or domain, the process is a little tricky. A lot of people think they can just download all their WordPress files, then upload them in the new location and it will work, but that is not correct.

A WordPress blog consists of two parts working together: 1) a bunch of files inside the folder where your blog is installed on your server, and 2) a database which stores all your posts, comments, and settings.

If you move one without the other, things won't work.

    Steps to move your blog:

1).First, create a full export of your WordPress database. The best way to do this is with phpMyAdmin, it's the same process as backing up your database. click here for a post describing how to do that from the WordPress site. You can also find some plugins that will create a full database backup/export. This one will, for instance.

2).If your blog address is changing, you're going to need to filter your database and correct all the paths, or none of your images will show up on your new blog. This is because all of the paths to the images (including your blog address) are stored in the database. I usually open the .sql database export file in a text editor with a good find/replace function and replace the old blog address with the new everywhere it is found. You also need to make sure that the "wpurl" and "home" options in the "options" table have the correct new address.

3).Next, download all your WordPress files, every last one of them, using FTP.

4).On your new website location, upload all your WordPress files.

5).On your new website server, create a new mySQL database and import the database export file you created (and filtered) in steps 1, 2.

6).Edit your wp-config.php file to make sure your new database name, user, and host info is correct.

7).Test the site using temporary IP or URL provided by new host... (You can ignore 404 error at home page for now.. but you should site your site working, means all sidebars in tact, header and ...)

8).You are ready to go and change DNS in your domain registrar to point to new host.

9).After DNS propagation is complete.. test site and see if you need to fix any link, if domain is same, you will not need to fix any link as links will be same...

Following above method , you can expect "ZERO" downtime...I transfer our clients Wordpress sites all the time, following above simple method.

If the above info is not enough to help you get your blog moved, you'll need to hire someone WF- Wanted - Members Looking To Hire You.

    Hope that helps...

You should address only ONE thing at a time.

Forget the moving... first you need to find your blog

If you get a 404 error - it means your site (or the required directory and/or file) is NOT there. Or missing.

    Fix that first!

    Just a little tip...
When you suddenly find yourself locked out of your WP site or admin area, first thing you want to do is FTP into the site root (or where you installed WP) and delete the htaccess file.
A huge number of lockouts are caused by this.
Don't worry it's not gone for good.
Once you find the issue, just re-save your permalinks and WP will auto create the htaccess again.
