Wordpress Help Please!

If you go here - New Cars, Used Cars | Search at AgentAuto.com, search for something like a Ford. You can see that It will show you results with no images as well as results WITH images. Is there a way to build a button next to the search bar that says, click here for images only? When the user clicks search, results with images are only displayed, or prioritized to the top of the searcheS?

    Yes its possible. You can create a checkbox and then check from the form whether it was checked. And then use a conditional if exists statement.

    The search results page is like a loop so you can display whatever you want there, if you know how to get it done.

    Well that, the thing is, we use Relvensai which is a search plugin that totally shifts how the normal wordpress engine works. So we were a little bit unsure how to make our need happen.

      Are you using the free version or the premium version?
      If your using the premium version, the fastest and easiest answer is to have the author make the modification, which they are happy to do as they explain on their site.
      If your not familiar with coding that is your best choice.

    I use relevanssi premium and think you should contact the publisher to make the hack himself. Or you can hire a programmer to do it cheaper. The thing is relevanssi gets updated a lot so you might have to re-hack it everytime.

    Hi John, very cool site, looks really well done.

    A filter by images option would be pretty simple to add, contacting the author of the plugin would probably be the cheapest option. I'd also suggest a sort by nearest dealer option. Sorry if you have that feature but in a 30 second glance I couldn't find it (so you're users won't either).

    Haha, first of all thanks for all the positive feedback for the site. A TON of custom code has gone into this already, and a TON of styling as as well believe it or not. My business partner does the styling and he is absolutely FANTASTIC at it.

    Anyhow, we are using the premium version of relevansii, but the author is a little useless when it comes to the actual Images online idea unfortunately. Great plugin though really, really has helped us a lot.

    I have been trying to figure out if there is some kind of tag that we could wrap the first image within for each listing, which then we could show "Tags" only for this result. Know what I mean?

    Another note I wanted to add as well, we don't just want the IMAGES to display, we actually want the full listing result WITH images to display only. So like this,

    So its not only just the image, but the Image and the actual listing details as well.

    I think you may want to consider a discovery based system instead of pure search. You can have the search bar, but maybe it's better to just have a filtering system right at the top. And this way, users can quickly narrow down what they want and don't want.

    This is assuming the average person doesn't know what he wants.

    See I have thought about that as well with my partner however I do not think that the idea would solve the initial problem of not being able to display listings with actual images at the top
