So I have been working on this blog over the past few days and would love to get some feedback.

Robb Luther - Just another SEO Guy

Let me know what you think. It is mainly an internet marketing type blog, but I am also adding some light hearted content in there. I would like that content to help get a little bonus traffic.

    SEO? - Not here.

    Design? - Not good. Crowded, not balanced. (Made for SE or people? - one thinks) Nothing stands out: visitor's eye is not guided, gets lost.

      You think a two column design would be better?

        No... or I don't know. It is not about the number of columns: even a one-column site can look ugly and not appealing.

        Look, I am not going to write an essay here about the basics. The look, the visual part of a web site should follow the general principles of visual art... [go to the link and read a bit about those]

        I know, a website is not considered an artwork. Of course, there are other considerations developed during the long-long years of having printed media and its typography, especially the organizing of magazine-type pages.

        There are lessons everywhere, if you want to learn about design, harmony, balance, proportions etc... SEO is not part of that equation ever. Sorry.

        You may be good at what you do but obviously web design is not your field. Get a pro.
