Wordpress formatting issues

Hey guys,

This question is strictly related to the visual editor/text editor for a wordpress page -

I am trying to create a sales page, already have the copy, but I simply cannot get the text to format correctly. When I publish, wordpress adds extra spaces, takes them away, clumps random paragraphs together so even if it looks fine in the visual editor, it gets funky upon viewing the actual published page.

Is there a better way to edit text and then put it on a wordpress page? Do you guys create graphics in photoshop and then upload them to the page? Or am I missing something here?

*i'm also using optimize press for this site if that makes any difference

We have a wordpress expert here who can probably provide you with a better answer than I can,
but I believe a lot of the issues with formatting occur when you keep switching between the
    "visual" and "text" tabs.

I use the Ultimate TinyMCE plugin and it seems to help quite a bit.

I use TinyMCE and do most of my formatting in the "text" tab and then save my work.
I'm sure there are others out there with better work arounds than this...
this is just what works for me...

Yes, I create most of my graphics in Photoshop and then upload them to my media library.

    hope this helps

If you're comfortable with HTML, you could insert your content directly into the HTML tab, thereby avoiding the visual editor altogether.
