If the template does not give you this option in the WP Admin panel, then you would have to change it in the css file, which you could actually do from the WP admin panel. However, if you do not know css then you won't know what to do. A developer would have to do these edits for you.

Generally in any wordpress themes in which the colors can not be customized directly, colors can be changed in css, but, in some cases, they use images, in that case, you need to create images in the same pixels and change the images.

To check how the theme developers did it, you can use a plugin firebug and it can be downloaded at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/firebug/ .

Please let me know if you need any help.

    Thanks,

  • Most color changes are done via CSS/ or WP ADMIN.

What I usually do is go to the files inside the theme and check out the images used. Edit it with the same pixels and change it to what I like. Sometimes you can just edit it inside a style.css not on the markup language inside the index.html... So you have to have any basic image editor like photoshop to manipulate any images you want to insert or colors you want to have some gradient and design for your site. That's how I edit any wordpress themes. Hope this can help
