Wordpress question

I want to make my front page a static introduction page. I want to make every other page a blog page. Like if it was IM a blog page on Seo only any posts,banners, graphics only Seo related. Same fit traffic etc is this possible?

    Yes just do it with categories and the custom menu.

      You could make your first page a static introduction page but is that really going to give you the best immediate draw. Get your visitors engaged right away.

    Despite what they said above - no, WP does NOT work in that way.

    Read the manual to learn about it: Main Page « WordPress Codex

    In WP you can create (write) the traditional "blog posts" and more static content, called Pages (always capital P).

    You can indeed select a static Page to be your front/home page.
    On another (empty page) all your blog posts will be listed - as they are on any normal blog.

    The rest of your question doesn't make sense...

    If you need more complicate setup than that - hire a pro or consult with a knowledgeable WP person.

      Not true, what he wants (multiple blog type pages) can easily be done with categories. Just add the category to the main custom menu and it acts just like a separate blog page with only the posts for that category.

        You must have some clairvoyant abilities... if you could figure out from that senseless rant what he wanted

        Yes, categories are there in WP since the beginning of the time, and custom menus for over 3 years. Any WP user should be aware of their existence and learn their usage :rolleyes:

    Yes I did understand what he was asking. It doesn't matter how long they've been there to someone who just started, no need to be condescending and call his question a "senseless rant" only because you could not understand him.

      The OP was four sentences, almost. What structurally appears to be a third sentence was not grammatically a sentence and made no sense whatsoever.

    You are absolutely right! I have been thinking about this. I guess I will go to Fiverr with all my posts from now on. I will have them proofread to make sure they make sense, make sure spelling is right and most importantly to make sure every T is crossed and every i has a dot. Only then will my post go up! God help me! what would the Warrior forum think of me if I forgot to dot an i.
    You know what I would not be surprised if some idiot jumps in this post and thinks I am serious. I am going to have to stay away from here for a while. I have seen some really stupid shit here lately. lately
