Twitter bootstrap is a great front end framework, but it boils down to preference. I have used both Bootstrap and Foundation (Plus a few others, Susy, Pure, Metro to name a few). But I find that Foundation really is one that excels for us at EdgeThreeSixty. We are Wordpress Developers and choosing the right framework is crucial when a new project comes through the door.

We have recently adopted Zurb Foundation as our base starter framework. It works great because here we enjoy working with SASS pre-processor. Bootstrap is fine if you're working with Less!

It really is down to what you prefer, that responsive grid system you linked seems fine, but you will always have a go to solution which will differ because of personal preference.

I liked what you shared because i don't like frameworks. They come with too much codes which usually goes unused.

I like to keep my coding clean and to a minimum.

I would have to agree with the Twitter Bootstrap suggestion. Version 3 has proven to be a great improvement as well. Bootstrap

As WordPress developers, we use a number of starter solutions depending on the difficulty of the project. A great Starter theme for Bootstrap is StrapPress by Brag Interactive (Fort Worth Web Design - Brag Interactive)

We have also used Bones by Eddie Machado (Bones - The HTML5 Wordpress Starter Theme), which is an Open Source responsive WP Theme and NOT a framework. It uses both LESS and SASS, depending upon your preference. But it is not as intuitive as Bootstrap with regards to responsive layouts with clean code.

The thing is with these frameworks you can easily cut down the code. You can do this by not including some parts of the framework, ie components part of Bootstrap.

    Thanks for the replies.

I tried using the grid system on one of my sites and like it. I think it works quite well.

I am also going to look into twitter bootstrap- thanks for that suggestion.
