In my little experience, I can say Drupal is a very good CMS but it requires time......and skills
It's based on some components ( the 'core' ) and some plugins ( 'module' ) that can extend the core.
Sometimes you must update the core, and to do this, you must disable all the module and after that, you can make the update... = a lot of time !
Wordpress requires less work, and today it can be considered like a CMS.
So, if you want to save time, choose Wordpress.
          I hope to help you!

If you are serious about your site and need functionality that can be scaled up then choose Drupal and a professional theme.

It may cost you a few hundred dollars, but this is peanuts really.

Drupal is the way to go. Its very very flexible and really isn't that hard to learn. Security and everything else is better with drupal as well. I believe it benchmarks better to as far as performance. It is harder than the others but a couple days and youll get it a couple months and youll be good at it.
