Still need help finding a forum

I've tried the few people have advised me but still no luck , and I can't afford to pay high prices for the quotes people are sending to me . I have a sports site that I want to put a forum on for my visitors to come to discuss things . Of someone can give me some valuable advice or steps on setting one up is greatly appreciate it ! My sites ran on wordpress !

    I don't know what forums have been suggested earlier but maybe you could give phpBB a go?

    It's a free forum script that you can set up on your own site. I don't know how good you are with the technical bit but they have a complete guide and everything on how to set it up.

    phpBB is a good forum system, if you are already working with wordpress how about
    bbpress
    vanillaforums - open source version
    Simpleress

    +1 phpbb, it's pretty much the go to open source forum software.

    If you have a little money to spend you might want to check out vbulletin.

    If you have good budget, try paid forums cms like Vbulletin or Xenforo.

    It will help you manage forum as well when you have more members, posts..etc.

    bbpress and Simpleress can be installed like any other wordpress plugin, bbpress can be downloaded from wordpress.org or bbpress.org and Simpleress can be downloaded from simple-press.com .
    You can learn how to setup vanillaforums from youtube and Delta90 has already provided a link for phpBB.
