What's the most versatile WP framework?

I am new to this, and currently using pagelines. I have been very happy so far, but as I progress and grow I am starting to feel confined. I was wondering what you guys use.

Is there a more versatile framework out there? Or does each situation dictate what you use?

    I usually build my own one which is specific to the project, it means cleaner code and I know exactly how everything is structured.

    However, if I ever need a really quick blank WordPress theme to base some mockups on, I use HTML5 Blank by Todd Motto. It's a really good blank WordPress theme and I often suggest it.
