Video Thumbnail Image Creation

Hi

Does anybody know of any software that will create a video still with a play icon on top of it, prompting people to click on it similar to the image that I have uploaded as an example.

    I feel like this would be more of something that would be provided by the website that is hosting your video (i.e youtube, vimeo, etc.) I guess I could be wrong, but if you're planning to place the video on a personal website I guess you could explore other sites that host videos that might have that icon for embedded videos.

    Just a thought.

    What you can do is open your video using Windows Media Classic player. Pause the video at the point that you want to take a picture. Go through the toolbar options and take a snapshot. Then open up the snapshot image in an image editor like Adobe Photoshop and paste in a play button. Save that and there's your image.

    You can Photoshop
    You put 2 layers one with play button
    and the background that would be your image
