Looking for a WordPess map solution?

Hi guys,


I'm looking for a solution / plugin, where I can create a mountain bike trail guide. I want to create a directory of mountain bike trails. Ideally I want the listing page to have a large world map displaying all the trails with with markers. Under the map you can search for the trails buy location or category.

Each trail will have a pre defined template, i.e decription, rating, photos, videos. etc. Also ideally I would like the user to be able to upload trails.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to create this? I have been looking for a solution for months and cant seem to find anything.

    Mappress Pro is a nice WordPress plugin that can do pretty advanced stuff, like code generated maps and map collections (mashups). I think the project might be beyond the scope of any plugin, but with some custom code you might get somewhere.

    Have you checked Google's new Maps Engine?

      Thanks for the information, I'll take a look at those plugins. Also do you know where I might be able to find a coder to help with this project? As my coding is very limited at the minute.

    You could try one of the freelancer sites, such as Odesk and Elance. I've not used them to hire anyone (yet), so can't give any actual tips. They're mentioned quite often on the Warrior Forum so try the search first.
