Hide specific text on specific WordPress pages

See this page to understand my question to follow. Note the "Leave a reply" text link appearing on the little comic face icon (mustachioed man) that repeatedly appears while scrolling the page. How do I hide that actual text from visitors to that page?

In EDIT>CSS or in STYLE.SCC and what code to use. A while back, someone gave extremely interesting info on how to accomplish this but I cannot properly search this forum to locate it. Any indepth feedback will be appreciated as once I find, I'll print it out and save for future reference. Thank you.

    Do you want to hide it. E.g. making the link white like the background.

    Or do you want to remove it altogether so it doesn't show?

      just remove it altogether, so it isn't visible. I'm afraid by making it white, the searchbots could penalize by assuming it's trickery......

        Try this:

        div.comments-link {
        display: none;
        }

          Very impressive rollmodl....THANK YOU. Go to the link now, and see what that does. IT WORKS! Now, is it possible to take it to yet another level? By this I mean, there are tags/keywords given to many images inside my site. They pop up on the various pages throughout the site and show with the following text (this to follow is example):

          This entry was posted in Banking and tagged Boat, Credit Union, Farnsworth, Ocean, Politically Correct, Sea, Ship, Ship Captain on August 14, 2013 by Dan.

          how to add CSS to delete the "This entry was posted in" and also at the very end of each set of text links:
          "On August 14, 2013 by Dan." The rest of text links could stay....but the other text.....is it possible to create CSS that eliminates this wording from all the pages?

            "This entry was posted in....on"

            May not be adjusted by CSS. You may have to delete it in the language file.

            "by Dan"

            span.by-author {
            display: none;
            }

              Adding what you indicated for deleting "by Dan" worked, could additional CSS also be added to get rid of that "on August 14, 2013" - THANKS alot . . . I really appreciate it. Where would I navigate in my dashboard to go to the language file or how would I access it to at least look in and see if possible to delete that "This entry was posted in....on" ?

              otherwise, fantastic instructions!

                To get rid of the date add time.entry-date to the code. Ex.

                span.by-author time.entry-date {
                display: none;
                }

                To find "This entry was posted in....on" the folders that contain the language may be in a folder on your server. I never used Wordpress so I can't tell you where to find the file.

                  Thanks for your expertise Rollmodl. For not using wp, how are you so prolific?

                  When I go into my dashboard to APPEARANCE>EDITOR>when that "style.css" (Edit Themes page opens), in upper right under "Templates", it reads:
                  This child theme inherits templates from a parent theme, Twenty Twelve.
                  So where would I then navigate to? In essence, I have a customized theme

                  In the meantime, I am going to try that additional css you mentioned....again, thanks.

    Rollmodl:
    Update regarding the CSS you suggested to hide the date:
    }
    span.by-author time.entry-date {
    display: none;
    }
    and I added it in "style.css" but unfortunately that line did not delete the date(s) as they appear on all pages. Could it be that date is associated with template?

      You can do this yourself. Depending on the browser use the developer tools.

      Create a separate line with "time.entry-date" and see if that works.

          Rollmodl. Update: SOMETHING WEIRD just happened. I used your:

          }
          time.entry-date {display: none;
          }

          as separate line in "style.css" and updated. Nope, it did not work. I then tried same in APPEARANCE>EDIT Css

          IT WORKED! My question is why it worked in regular CSS but not in "style.css"? Also, in this line: This entry was posted in Bigfoot and tagged relaxing, sitting on .

          That text on this page

          red bold text can not be deleted I assume?

            The red text in bold may be in a language folder or file. I can't help you with that one. You'll just have to find where it's located.

              You mean if I do in fact find it in a specific folder, I can in fact, delete it? I'll be careful at first.....I may run something by here if I find anything.....

                so wonder which of this it could be in? Is anyone familiar with any of these?
