That is a way, but won't work for every one. It will send them to the default email program on their computer. Problem is, many people use free services like hotmail, or gmail, and that set up won't send them there.

Better to use a contact form. Will work for every one.

Check with your hosting company to see what cgi mailing scripts are available. Then just follow their tutorial. If that doesn't work you can always install wordpress and use one of the many mailing plugins available like contactform7. (doesn't mean your whole site will be need to be wordpress based).

I always like to set the action on a form up so that it ends up in a throwaway email address and I forward it to my main one(just an extra level of security).

You could just create a contact form on their website, get the code for the contact form from them and then place that code on your website.

That's a good idea, to see if your hosting account has a contact form cgi option. I have not put a contact form on a HTML site is so long, I couldn't tell you exactly where to get one. Out of the loop.

I only use wordpress these days, so it's just adding a plug-in.

Although, if you google html contact form, there are a number of options.

Some time ago I found a site called ListWire. It let's you generate email list submit forms and tie them into mailing campaigns, but the UI is cluttered and confusing.

You can give a try if you want, I suppose.
