Please Recommend a Fast WP Theme That's Simple

I'm looking for a WordPress theme that loads fast and is simple and clean.

I'd like one with the sidebar on the right and that is updated to work with WordPress.

I like the Admired theme @ WP-Ultra.com but it doesn't seem to be updated. I like the Suffusion theme on WordPress but it isn't updating when I change the font and link settings.

Does' anyone know of a Clean, Fast, Theme that I can set-up and edit quickly and easily?

        I'm not very happy with 2014 but haven't looked too closely at it.

        I always use one of the WordPress.org hosted and developed themes and create a child theme based on one of them. That is in my opinion the best basis for developing a website for any niche.

        Installation of a custom header image is simple and will set your site apart from the crowd.

    I suppose you are looking for a modern standards, responsive (mobile device ready), lightweight theme that is also attractive then you might want to take a look at the following resources.

    Skeleton theme
    Quark Theme

      The Skeleton theme didn't work (download is broken) Didn't like the Quark theme.

      The theme is not working...

      The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the <code>style.css</code> stylesheet.
      Theme install failed.

        I'm sure you didn't read the README.md file properly.

        Most of the WordPress standard themes will load fast if you optimize the site well. Every themes are editable and could remove the part you want.

        The problem is could you do those stuffs!

          No I didn't read the "Read Me" file. I downloaded the theme and logged into wordpress and uploaded the file.

          No, I don't edit wordpress themes. All I can do is install them, add plugins, and follow directions under the "option" link for editing the layout.

              Have you seen the Rundown theme and the Yume theme on WordPress.org. That's something I like I just need to learn how to edit sidebar fonts and colors.

              Is there any info on how to edit themes?

                Normally you would go to appearance/widgets and edit the widgets if any are editable!

                also there are plugins out there for custom widgets.

                But all the real edits should be done in the css file. First download a copy of the theme style.css file located in your wp-content/themes/yourtheme/style.css

                look for the right sidebar widget area's and edit font size color etc.....

                use notepad++ it has a search function to search the file. click search and find widget! keep clicking through document till you find the right sidebar wiget you need to edit!

        in wordpress go to themes then add new and in the search box type responsive and browse the themes!

        There are some really simple responsive themes to use!

          I've been looking but can't seem to find what I want.

          I like a small header with one sidebar on the right side. I'd like to be able to edit the text color and font size in the sidebar widgets. I'd also like to be able to add or remove the menu bar at top. I don't like complicated. I need something that loads fast and is editable.

    what about magazine theme. it loads fast, simple and clean. I personally like MH Magazine theme and really love it. It does have one small header at the top and one column on your right for the widgets.

      I found a theme I like that is simple and easy to edit. It loads fast and is called:

      Asteroid

      It's free! It has a more indepth editing section than other free themes.

      I think someone recommended it somewhere but can't remember where or who.
