WordPress Resticted Pages Plugin

Greetings all! Thanks for taking a moment to view my thread!

I am developing a website for Internal Personnel use only, I want to restrict access to the content of the website ONLY to those whom I CREATE. I do not want random users to have the ability to register. (the site is blocked from indexing, but with semi-sensitive information one can never be too careful)

Anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate any help I can get!

I did something similar a few years ago: I used a plugin the hide the content from unregistered users + every user wanting to register had to be approved by the admin (=myself)... but I'd need to find somewhere what kind of plugins I was using.

I would just password protect the whole site. There's an option in cPanel at many webhosts that does it easily or you can do it on any Apache server htpasswd - Manage user files for basic authentication - Apache HTTP Server

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.
