hey all,

Wanted to know which is best to create a sales page for a digital product, OP or LP??

Want it to be customizable, so it can have some custom graphic headers and footers, have video integration for auto play, different text and colors, testimonial boxes and all that good stuff.

cheers

I use OP to create most of my squeeze pages. The awesome thing about OP is the freedom of customization, it has all the features you have mentioned. In regards to sales pages, I'm sure its about the same.

As for leadpages, I have yet to use it so can't really comment.

If you want to get started fast, LeadPages is best. They have many great templates to choose from and you'll only need to fill it with content and hit publish. It will even be hosted on their servers.

Benefit: you'll have a slick looking, working sales page in under an hour (if you you already have the copy).

On the other hand, if you're looking for customization and want utmost design freedom with your page, than OP is much better. I find that while LeadPages is great for whipping up pages quickly, you do have to agree on their overall layouts. You can remove some elements but the main structure of each page is fix.

But, of course, OP needs to be installed, updated, also has a learning curve to use..

I have both . OPRESS is more flexible, but lead pages is so easy and looks cool too.

    Less headaches with LP.

I use OP. Flexible yes, but more complicated than Leadpages.

      Vote for Optimize Press 2.0,
It's need a time to learn the curve, but it's worth.

I have use both of these . OP is more complected then Leadpage. Leadpage is easy to customize and cool. In my opinion Leadpage is the best ..

I just switched over to LeadPages, and I wouldn't consider anything else. The templates are pretty stale in the sense that you can't do much in the way of rearranging or customizing them; it's a bit like putting together a puzzle to make your content fit.

With that said, the integrations to my existing infrastructure (AutoPilot / WordPress) has been super easy, and I'm seeing much higher conversion %'s than I experienced previously with AutoPilot and Optimize Press landing pages.
