I deleted all my pages and posts, and menus.

And when I type in my domain name, it goes straight to home page.

But I deleted my home page, and it still is going to "Home".

How do I get rid of this home page?

You can build a new home page (perhaps just with a temporary message) then go into your wp dashboard|settings|reading and set the the new page as your home page. To delete the old one open all pages send the old one to trash and then empty the trash

If you want to remove everything (which it sounds like that's what you're trying to do), just uninstall the wordpress.

I tried that and uninstalled wordpress, then reinstalled it, and when I did, the home page still was there.

I tried redirecting my site to a different URL, didn't work.

I tried deleting all my posts and pages, and the home page still was there.

I even tried looking for a way to delete the theme pages, but I recently found that I can't even do that.
Because wordpress got rid of the delete button for theme pages

That's why I always have found wordpress to be a pain in the ass
Not to mention finding out which plugins will produce you the results you want

I have found weebly and webs to be much better

Do you have it installed in another directory on your server? Have you also updated the settings in the dashboard so that the 'WordPress address' is 'domain.com/blog' and the 'site address as 'domain.com' ? That may fix your problem?

Are you trying to take your site down? Or what? Removing all of the files should do that. Otherwise, do you have a link we can look at?

I posted this so it may show up, but the site keeps timing out today.

It sounds like you're using the same MySQL database.
You said you uninstalled it all and then put it all back but made no mention of using a new database or not. Or at least change the prefix in the set up from wp_ to something else.
Those files do not store any information at all they are nothing more then templates. WordPress then pulls the data from a MySQL database and puts it on the site.

So try using a new database, cleaning out the old one, or change the prefix.
Delete all your WordPress files and upload a new copy, then make sure you don't use the same database, or at least the prefix.

WordPress is not a pain in the ass if you take the time to learn how it works and how to work with it. Sites like webs and weebly, wix, etc are great for one thing. Taking your money. They get you in the door with free websites but once you see how limited things are you'll start to pay them, not worth it when you can get same results on your own.

I agree plugins can be a pain in the ass, but don't use the wp-admin search, us a web search and take the time to research the plugin, you can find their websites and they normally have more samples and reviews. It will save you time in the long run trying out 50 different plugins.
