How can I learn Webdesign ?

    Hi there,

    Learning web design is extremely complex task. I think you should start from the styling, then learn how to combine colors, take a time and learn at least the basics of coding and give a try to a program such as Photoshop.

    You can find a lot of tutorials out there. So just open Google and look for what you need. Another good approach is youtube. That media offers a large number of video tutorials that will help you start with the design.

    If case of a trouble, pm me and I will send you some basic guides and / or will help you further with your questions.

    A great website is codeacademy .com. It's free and you can learn all the different languages in lessons. I find w3 schools is really vague and mainly good for referencing .

    As others as pointed out, you can easily learn by watching video tutorials on Youtube. You just have to be determined. I for one I learnt my Php programming by Youtube videos especially those from developphp site and the php.net website. Within 2 years, I am able to program anything I want the site to do.

      What type of webdesign?

      Do you want to be able to design WordPress, html static sites, Joomla?

      For what purpose?

      Do you want to create on demand for business's, make a repository of themes, design small business directory?

      There are many different but excellent online courses out there that will cover enough to get you started. Enough so you can at least hang out your shingle as a designer. But it is an ongoing thing and there is always something new to learn.

    No matter whether you use WordPress or traditional HTML (like with Adobe Dreamweaver), you'll need to learn CSS. Buy a good CSS book. One I recommend is "CSS Cookbook" by Christopher Schmitt from O'reilly.

    CSS will allow you to fine tune WordPress pages and Posts a do some hacking or WordPress themes. Later, you should also learn some PHP, so you can really hack WordPress.

    You should also know how to buy domain names, set up web hosting stuff (via their control panel), reliable do backups (use a WP plugin like "UpdraftPlus" and backup to Dropbox), setup email boxes, build stores (Shopify.com), do FTP (WS_FTP or free Firefox extensions) and do SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

    A big help if you also know the basics of Online Marketing so you can avoid building websites which are difficult to market.

    I would start with FREE learning. Youtube is a great resource. That will lead you to other websites. Start with free, to make sure it's what you really want to do, then once you find the area of interest you can take on more. Good luck!

    Go with HTML and W3Schools Online Web Tutorials is the best lace to learn. Why? It is because they make rules for coding standard and when you will learn from their website you will learn about latest trends.

    Try to copy and create on your own, a site that you like.....

    You need to learn the basic concepts of designing before you design a logo. Concepts like design balance, typography usage, color themes and their usage. And You can use adobe photoshop. Tons of tutorial and trick are available online or try watching some of the tips and tricks in youtube and follow their instructions.If you have talent and an artistic feel, you should be able to create logos by drawing them on paper. Then learning Adobe Illustrator would be easy. Creativity is the key.

    I think you should start From basic things like HTML and CSS then later on you can go for asp java script or other essential languages. Do some online research you will get number of best website using that you can learn web design.

    The best way to learn is to dive in; get Wordpress or Drupal and download source code. You don't even need hosting, run it locally and you'll soon learn about programming languages (PHP in this case) plus databases (MySQL), design (CSS) etc etc.

    Once you're comfortable, purchase some computing resource via a service like AWS or similar and put something on the net.
