Help -- I'm having WP problems...

I saw the demo on this theme -- looked perfect. It had a slider and under it there was a testimonial slider, etc.

I filled in all the pics + info -- but then neither slider showed up on the home page.
Isn't the theme supposed to be a structure that puts everything I input where it should go on the page more or less automatically?

Did I do something wrong?

Please advise.

    what is the theme ?

    in the new twenty fourteen theme of wordpress,

    under customize

    they offer "grid" and "slider" for customized

    so you can select "slider" there

    don't know where such is on your theme, not knowing your theme

    but check under "customize", if you have that option
