My first Website!!!!

Hey guys/girls I have been so busy working my 9 to 5 job that i finally made a website on my days off. Now I am starting to work on it when i get home from a 9 hour day some days. This is my first ever website but i have learned so much from researching bout affiliate marketing.

My website is is Funny Gag Gifts

I would just like to get your guys/girls thoughts on my website and if my theme looks ok and what i should change. I would love some feedback from you pros out there. I have had my site up for a few weeks and have made a twitter, tumblr,pinterest account for the website so i can try to build a following. I have 450 followers on pinteerest and still trying to build on the other social sites. I have no sales as of yet and the -_- i have some adsense but they are clear i guess and wont show up.

    Congratulations on your first website!
    It looks really cool, I would sugest that the header menu be in a single line, perhaps smallerfont? and change color when hover maybe to a darker shade of gray.

    Don't forget to put in google analytics, or wordpress jetpack to track your traffic.

    Firstly, congratulations on creating your first website. It is quite beautiful. The things that matter for a website are the contents and SEO. If your contents are good and original/unique then more people will flock to your site and you will gain popularity. I see that you have made the website based on WordPress and that's a very good thing for SEO. Be sure to do some on-paging so that your site comes up in the SERP. But then again if this is just your hobby, then you are good to go. Again, it is a nice website.

    I too started a new blog. You have a great website. One thing that I would change would be the menus. Make the font smaller. Over all, you really did a good job.

    I would include a contact page with an email and a phone number (you can get a free phone number from Google Voice).

    I wouldn't buy from a retail shop if they didn't have any contact info. Even if the prospect clicks a link and the link takes them to Amazon, I would still include contact info. It makes your site more professional.

    Also, as Kaibril pointed out, I would redesign the menu bar. Everything seems to run together.

    Congratulations on your first website. It's quite good for a newbie. You need to consider the advice given to you by some warriors here (i.e. font size, contact info, menu bar design, etc.). For SEO purposes, you really need to include contents/articles in your blog section. You don't have to overwhelm yourself with the writing process. Try targeting 1 blog entry per week. It's best if you can come up with at least a 400 word article.

    Then share your blog entries to your social media accounts. This will help generate traffic to your site. It's going to be a tedious process but with time management you can do it. Good luck and more power!

      Thank you for helping me. What is the best way to write 400 word's on a funny gadget like product though? I usually think of something off the top of my head but i make out with 170 words. I use the seo by Yoast and most of my content was green? I thought that was good?

    Don't forget to add your copyright text in your footer area and the needed legal pages.

    I think if you can decrease the font size a bit of your menu items, that would be great.

    Congrats on your first site you are on the right road. I have a hard time seeing where to fill in for leaving a comment. The shades of grey are too close, make one a bit lighter. Great start!

    Some areas to improve..
    *The menu does not work well. it does not compliment. Its too square and too big.
    * Menu fonts is really big
    *Too much menus which go below the first menus. Why not use sub-menus and put all gags in category.

    For optimization.. Dont forget to Add Expires headers..
