FF problems with refresh

I brought this up a year ago or so and someone mentioned that using ctrl+f5 would force ff to do a true refresh. That does the job most of the time but when I edit code on the server the 'Preview Html' window doesn't show a change that involves the css sheet. I have logged in and out about a dozen times today and used ctrl+f5 a few times also but it still shows one thing I changed on the css sheet as if it isn't changed. FF doesn't reload the css sheet in this situation.

Because the 'Preview Html' button is right on the edit window of the public folder I thought the problem was the host so I put in a ticket and they said that the refresh had nothing to do with the server, just the browser.

Looking at it with ie does show the change so it looks like they are right.

This is a bit of a pain in the neck when a change made isn't working and a few times I thought it was because I hadn't done it right, then spent time looking for the problem in the code.

Has anyone else had this happen and found a way around it? If there isn't a solution I guess I will just have to use something else when making changes right on the server.

Maybe the browser is caching the CSS files, you can try after emptying the browser cache.

  Yes I suppose it is a cache problem, but I hate to do that every time this situation comes up. Then it takes a couple of months before I get the things filled in for me again that ff normally fills in. Using IE for that one job would be a lot easier and I guess that's what I'm going to do if there isn't a good way around this with ff. Thanks for the comment though.
  
  Just a bit of additional information. The 'Preview Html' window is a very basic stripped down ff window, with no tool bars or bookmarks. I guess some of the ff machinery is also trimmed down and that's why the ctrl+f5 doesn't do its job.
