How to deal with script conflict?

Hi,

Last week, I was editing a Wordpress theme for my client. I added started adding plugins and found a really good Javascript to add on in the theme, but had a serious script conflict problem after.

My question is, is there by any chance a program to detect which scripts/codes are incompatible or atleast an easier way for to determine or what ways do you usually do to figure this things out?

PS: I did found the conflict by tweaking almost all of my codes (it was not a plugin conflict) and making a bigger mess and more work for me since I have to find another way for the codes to work side by side.

The best way to avoid conflict is to test thoroughly after all changes that have the potential for creating problems, which leaves only html and css edits, everything else needs to be checked.

      Hi RobinInTexas,

Thank you for your response. I did that but it takes time. I was hoping for like an alternative like a program, if there's any?
